PUBLISHING GUIDE

From Türkiye to global readers

An international publishing checklist for files, rights, metadata, formats, tax and channel decisions.

Start with the publishing goal, not a platform list

International publishing is not uploading the same file to every possible store on the same day. Audience, language, format, price, rights territory and promotional capacity belong in one decision. Channel selection comes afterwards.

Check these before publication

Confirm that you hold the necessary source and translation rights, and that image and font licences cover target territories. Each language and format may need edition-specific metadata, ISBN and file decisions.

  • Rights, territory and term
  • Target-language edit and cultural review
  • EPUB/PDF validation
  • Title, description, categories and keywords
  • Price, tax and payout account
  • Distribution overlap and exclusivity

Channel suitability is project-specific

KDP, IngramSpark, Draft2Digital, Apple Books, Kobo, Google Play Books and other channels differ in country availability, payouts, files and contracts. Using every platform is not a requirement; fewer channels can create a cleaner operation for some projects.

Publication is not the finish line

Store pages, print quality, links, price and metadata need monitoring after release. Consistent sales reporting makes later edition, translation and advertising decisions more reliable.
