Rights in the work
The author-owned model is designed so that rights in the work, creative control, final files and, where practical, the platform account remain with the author. The position is not automatic; it is defined in the proposal, agreement and applicable platform terms.
Produced assets
For covers, illustration, interiors, audio, video and brand assets, source-file delivery, field of use, term, territory, media, modification rights and portfolio permission are handled as separate contractual items.
Third-party licences
Fonts, stock imagery, music, voice, software or other licensed assets may not be transferable. Licensor, evidence, scope, term and renewal requirements are recorded in the asset register.
